Channel conflict, complex requirements, and institutional inertia were limiting Verizon’s growth just as market saturation and rising smartphone prices were slowing sales. Outdated channel strategies created internal competition between brick-and-mortar stores and the web store, while Verizon Wireless competed against Verizon Telecom, fragmenting the customer experience.

Strategic Approach

I led sales funnel optimization and simplification across both Verizon Telecom and Verizon Wireless, implementing a “quick hits” strategy to test and innovate rapidly. This approach focused on identifying needs and crafting testable solutions within one-week cycles while building toward comprehensive transformation of Verizon’s digital approach.

Increased sales of smartphones, accessories, and services. One Quick Hit project redesigning the Verizon Wireless Prepaid Flow resulted in doubling the number of customers reaching the cart page by dropping steps and optimizing page elements.

Comprehensive E-commerce Redesign Over two years, I redesigned the entire wireless shopping experience from homepage to checkout, including My Verizon account management, billing, and upgrade paths.
